While Gary was with Heather and Jason at the NASCAR races, Ahren and Becca spent time in Dayton. A trip to VC with just the girls meant another trip on the train. Makayla, Sariah and Mallory joined Ahren and Becca on the spare train axle as we waited for the train to come into the station!
A little window shopping in VC came after the train ride. Ahren and Sariah decided to try their luck in the camel races.
The last weekend in June we took a trip to Topaz Lake, which lies on the CA-NV border on Hwy 395. It was the first camping trip for Ron and Leslie and their family in the trailer they had just purchased. They found out what supplies they forgot and made a list of must-do's before the Tahoe trip the end of July. This time Pam did all the driving and setting up in camp!
Of course, camping near a lake wouldn't be the same without the dogs. We did find out that our Lady dog is not afraid of jumping on the dashboard or table if we leave the dogs in the RV. We will have to work on that!
This was the first time we had taken Lady to a lake so we were anxious to see what she would do.
No surprise - she's a water dog, too! She did get discouraged swimming out for balls as Apollo is a really strong swimmer and could catch up and pass her in the water. So, dry land it's Lady in the lead and water means the winner is Apollo.
