I am having problems posting to the blog - I've written the script three times and it is not being saved. Here goes the attempt again! Above is the living room after the installers had put down the vapor barrier and begun to lay the wood planks. We did all the prep work of taking out the old flooring, the baseboard trim and the furniture so they got to work right away laying the laminate.
Probably the hardest room to clear out was the office as all the computer and ham radio equipment had to be disconnected. The armoire/desk was extra heavy, too!
This picture was taken in the evening so the lighting was different - but I really like the new flooring!
The only furniture we have in the living room is one section of our sofa, the plant and my small computer desk. We will need to sand, paint and reinstall our baseboard trim before anything else is brought back in.
Along with the flooring project we are also getting ready for our camping trip to Eagle Lake so we kept busy while the installers worked. Gary also put in the foundation for our flag pole that will be in our front yard. We took out the lawn and will be putting in some plants, trees and rocks sometime this summer/fall season. It all takes time and we always seem to be on the go!!
Tomorrow we have a list of things to complete including planting some flowers, washing and fueling the RV, stopping in to see Mom and Dad a little longer than I did today, doing some grocery shopping and various other necessary deeds! Oh yeah, I need to do some laundry. It will all get done - it always does. Can't wait to lay back and relax at the campground!
Good Night!

Looks good, wished I was there to help put back together. Maybe when I get home in the spring we can do a project together, like old times.
ReplyDeleteI would love to do some projects together, too! I hope to be able to see you when you are home for the two weeks in September!
