Another Good Day for Lynn

Saturday afternoon Mom and I went to visit Lynn,  She had been pretty stable according to her nurse, Cassandra.  Her pressures go up whenever they need to move her but the good part is that they are going back down on their own after the movement is done - no additional medication has been needed.  According to her nurse, Dr. Song, the neurosurgeon, wants to start weaning her off the drug that induces the coma.  It will still take some time for the medication to leave her system so we don't know how long this process will take.  We took this as good news as the doctors must think she has stabilized enough to do some further testing.  Maybe they will even try to remove the breathing tube from her mouth and do a tracheotomy instead.  Lots of questions to ask the doctor!

Gary took this picture of Mom, me, Lynn and Dad sometime in 2010.  I just want to keep happy pictures of her posted for everyone to see.
Your thoughts and prayers must be helping Lynn so please keep them up!

In other news, I have made some contact with two cousins, Barbette and Lorie, who both live in the East.  Growing up in the West has not allowed too much opportunity to get to know them.  At least we can communicate via email, blog or facebook!
