Today we honored our servicemen and women with a flag ceremony at Carson Plaza. The Naval ROTC from Carson High School even gave a resounding rifle salute to them. Afterwards there was a BBQ, entertainment and games for everyone to enjoy. There was a great turnout for the activities.
Gary spent a lot of the weekend refereeing at a huge basketball tournament. There were over 900 teams competing so there were courts set up all over the city of Reno as welll as North Lake Tahoe. At least he got some exercise!!! I think he refereed 14 games in 3 days!

Mom, Dad, Gary & I just came home from visiting Lynn at the hospital. She is not as swollen as she has been and looked a lot more comfortable than many other days. It is really hard to be there with her when we know that we will not get her back. Our Heavenly Father is going to have one special spirit with him soon though it still seems impossible that all this could be happening. I know she is loved by many and she has loved them back. Thank you. I have so many thoughts going through my head but I do know she was happy being here in Dayton and the only downfall was not being near her son, Ryan. He is a wonderful young man and I hope he will stay the course and make his mom proud.
We are hoping to see our son Mark and his family in a few weeks. They have been planning a cross country road trip for some time now and we are anxious to see if it will work out. Can't wait to see the grandkids ... Jett is 6, Melah is 5, Vera is 4 and Corbin is 1.
We expect to have my brother Dave and his wife, Doris out here at the same time as Mark's family so we will try to have a mini family reunion at that time and have Heather's family come from Placerville and Jennie's family come from Los Angeles. Lynn's son, Ryan will be done with this term of school and will be coming up to Dayton as well. We will also try to do a Celebration of Life for Lynn at the same time. I am glad our family can be together, even if for a short time.
