Sunday Report - (Since I did not write on our blog yesterday)
Here are some pictures from Saturday .....
Here are some pictures from Saturday .....
We had a potluck on Saturday night and all seemed to really enjoy it.
This is one of the signs we met along the way. Gary kept the engine brake on all the way down the hill from our Yosemite camp and left the drive in 2nd gear. It's good that we left at 5 am so that no one else was on the road!
I always love to see Mt. Shasta. We followed Doug & Bev's 5th wheel all the way to their house in Sprague River, OR. They have set up an RV place at the side of their property and call it "Youngberg RV Park". It even has WIFI service!!!

Apollo and Lady always want to be part of the action so we have to keep an eye on them.
Monday Report:
We started off the day by going into Klamath and having four new tires put on the RV. We had hoped to wait until next spring to buy them but Gary said the "weather checking" on them was too bad and we would have a safer trip with new ones.
After returning back to Doug & Bev's and making some lunch we took a walk down their road to look at some property that is for sale. It's 3.2 acres, has lots of trees and a nice view of the valley. It's got our interest and we are going to look into it further. I've always wanted some land to have a horse or two and we had talked about building a log house in the future so it may be a possibility!
Our radio frequency fun comes from the new ham setup that Gary has been working on for the RV. He worked really hard getting all the wiring done and putting a big antenna on the back of the motorhome, but when he uses some of the channels it seems to set off some of the systems in our coach. We have had the awnings go in or out and the slide outs try to come in when he has tuned to different frequencies on his radio. He thinks it is because some of the radio wiring may be too close to some of the motorhome wiring. He'll have to do some trouble shooting to figure how to modify it. Gary will figure it out.
Tomorrow before we leave we will take some pictures of the Youngberg home as well as some pictures of the property we are looking at and try to get them up on the blog for tomorrow. We will need to get our cell phone turned on for internet service so wish us luck! We plan on traveling to Elko, NV and stay at a Walmart for the night before we head into Salt Lake City.
