Our bags were packed, we were ready to go! Ron and Leslie and the kids led the way into Carson City as they needed to pick up a prescription at Walgreens - just had to wait until 9 am when the pharmacy opened.
It was a beautiful drive up Carson Pass (the picture got left off this blog) then we were going down Highway 88 toward Jackson when Ron & Leslie told us we were losing water. Uh oh.

A stop along side the road turned up a broken hose in the cooling system and we had lost all our antifreeze - kind of reminds us of North Carolina last year! Ron helped Gary make the repairs and we were off again - just another 45 minutes lost! When we were finally in cell phone range we contacted Heather. She & Jason, Doug & Bev and all the kids had been waiting for us in Jackson, wondering where we were.

After a stop in Jackson to buy more antifreeze and have some lunch we were off to Yosemite. We had 4 RV's and 1 car in our travel group and kept track of each other by walkie talkies. We arrived at our camp - Yosemite Pines RV Resort - got set up and the kids all started to explore the surroundings. I think we have 9 teenagers, 3 kids, 1 toddler and 1 baby, along with 10 adults, 5 dogs and 1 puppy. We make quite a group! On Friday we will add Jen, Jeff & Besso, and their two dogs, to our menagerie!
After dinner Katrina and Mackenzie asked me to go on the exercise trail with them - it did work up a sweat as it was a lot of up and down climbing, with exercise stations along the way. We did 3/4 of the trail tonight and will probably do the rest tomorrow.
TOMORROW we head into Yosemite National Park. We plan on staying on the valley floor, taking the shuttle and seeing what hiking we would like to do on Friday. That way we can plan for our adventures. We'll see ........ should be fun!
