We were pretty relaxed this morning. We knew we did not have to travel far today and that all the roads would be familiar. Even so, we set our GPS to 601 Sunrise Dr, Dayton!!
A familiar sight - wild mustangs were just off the highway between Fernley and Silver Springs. I always love to stumble upon them.
When we turned onto Highway 50 at Silver Springs the picture was calling out to me!
Only 24 more miles to home after traveling 6800+ miles in the last 8 weeks.
There is Dayton Valley, looking west.
Back in the 'hood' again!
Our house was a welcome sight!
GPS found the place!
Today it seemed like we were looking for signs along the way and as we saw them it was great. I know that at some point we may travel full time for a year or so but it is always good to have a home to come back to.

We have been doing laundry and going through the mail. Gary worked on getting my car started again. The dogs have been enjoying being back in the yard, though they do want to keep us in sight. Robin, Shari, Wayne and John all stopped by to welcome us home. It was great. Ron used our Ford truck today so when he gets home we will visit with him. I am glad we live in such a good neighborhood.
We had a great trip and took LOTS of pictures. It may take us a few days to settle in but we look forward to our next outing, too!
We do have to make one correction to yesterday's blog announcements. Due to financial complications with medical benefits Gary's Dad, Walter, will not be getting married. He and Marie are disappointed in the restrictions but will stay with their current arrangement.
Tomorrow we will be meeting with some long time friends from So Cal - Phil & Karen Wyatt. We went to school at Long Beach State with them and have known them since before we were married. Both were originally music teachers, like Gary, though Phil did change his subject to math and computers. They are up in Lake Tahoe this week to celebrate their anniversary so we will meet them in Carson City for lunch. We're looking forward to it!
