The day of activities began at 8:30 am with "Washers."
Gary and I got pitted against each other in the first round so that meant one of us would not advance. My team happened to win in sudden death but we lost the following game so no ribbons for us. Our Copper Hills Chapter was a winner when Mike won second place!

We went straight from "Washers" to "Sequence." I made it through round 3 and Gary went on to round 4 before he was eliminated. Shirley made it to 3rd place so our chapter was still represented in the awards.
Gary did the best on the third game, "Doubles Cribbage" when he ended up playing the championship round. He took second place and Verna took 1st so we had two members in the awards!
After the cribbage there was a meeting for "First Timers" and Members at Large. Since Gary is our chapter president he and I attended that meeting to let the people know about the various chapters that they might want to join.
We finally got a break about 5pm to return to our RV and have some dinner.
At 7 pm we had opening ceremonies for the Samboree and were able to be in the parade of flags. Each chapter had a chance to say a few things as they presented their flag. Besides Nevada chapters we had people from several other states.
It's now about 9:45 pm and I am ready for bed. Tomorrow we have signed up for 4 different games so we need to let our brains rest and get some down time tonight!
