We arrived home Wednesday evening about 5 pm. Nothing spectacular about our drive home - but it didn't seem too bad and Gary did not mind driving the 450 miles in one day. The statistics of our trip will be posted later, but I do know we traveled close to 6200 miles. We did the first go-round on our 7 weeks of mail. Detailed reading will come later - we just threw out the stuff that we knew was not needed.
Today we started working about 6:30 am - and kept busy until 9:30 tonight. We are exhausted. The day was spent pulling weeds, trimming bushes, mowing and trimming our front lawn and Wally's, too. Gary also changed the rotors and brakes on his Tacoma and I went grocery shopping. In between all of these tasks we seemed to have a lot of phone calls, talked to neighbors and ran a few errands in town. We still haven't emptied out the RV, but Apollo keeps wanting to go into it. It means home to him now, I guess.
Mark has heard from another restaurant in PA, this time in Gettysburg. They don't pay as well but he is going to check on the benefits they may offer. Jennie ran into her old boss and he was really excited to see her. He hinted at the possibility of having Jennie work for a new group he was forming. Now she has two possibilities for work. Jeff is working on a pilot for a new animated cartoon. He is hoping someone like Cartoon Network or Comedy Central will like it and want to use his ideas. I guess it is a waiting game for all concerned! Heather and Jason are keeping the kids on task with the final days of school upon them. BJ has a birthday next week and wanted to celebrate it tomorrow. We told them we were not doing any driving this weekend - we need a break and the traffic for Memorial Day weekend is not exciting. We will go into Placerville when it is BJ's actual birthday.
Tomorrow we hope to work some more on the front yard and should be able to finish it up. At least from the street we will look like our landscape is under control. It's another story in the back yard. Lots of elbow grease and lots of time will be needed to get it looking nice again.
I probably won't be writing something everyday. I hope to learn more about our new photo program and may be able to post more pictures from our trip.
I'm ready for bed - so good night y'all!
