We're Here, We're Finally Here!

Apollo and Blue Belle greet each other - Blue Belle was really excited for her visitor!
This is the front of Dave and Doris's home. It's beautiful! They have more rooms than they know what to do with! We were able to sleep in a little bit this morning - at least as much as we normally do. After a load of wash was in the machine we took off for a little touring of the general area around Rockwell. It included, of course, a visit to Lowe's Motor Speedway.
We went into the HUGE field and could see about everyplace on the racetrack. Jason, we took lots of pictures for you even if we don't put them all on the blog. After seeing THE RACETRACK we drove by the 1/4 mile drag strip and the 1/2 mile oval dirt track, all within a view of each other.

Of course, no tour would be complete without seeing some of the race shops. Since I was familiar with the name of Roush Racing (Mark Martin, right Jason?) I decided to put this one up for view.
A lunch stop was made at Dickie's BBQ and then we went hunting for parts to repair the cooling system for the RV. Gary and Dave figured out what was needed and after a little hunting around were able to find all the parts. A little more sightseeing was done in the general direction of home and when we arrived repairs began immediately.
When all was done we ate another nice chicken dish for dinner. Oh, and Gary and I got a chance to ride on the scooter David has. Pam even drove it by herself! It is a Yamaha Zuma and is just like the one our Rally neighbors had. We are contemplating the idea of buying one but I think many other items take priority.
An after dinner play time with the dogs helped tire them out somewhat. They are starting to play side by side, even if not with each other.

While playing a game of Sequence with Dave and Doris the dogs finally began playing TOGETHER! That meant one of them chasing the other in circles around the table we were sitting at. At least they are getting used to each other. By the way, the guys beat the girls 3 to 1 on Sequence. Maybe we'll try Phase 10 tomorrow night!
We will be going to Charlotte to see Aunt Eleanor and Cousin Barbette tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the visit as it's been quite a few years since we have seen them.
Bedtime. Good Night!
