Surprise at Cracker Barrel and some silly goose ---- AFLAC!

Our goal today was to meet Alison near Raleigh for lunch at the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Imagine our surprise when Kurt came walking up with her! He originally had plans to go hunting and fishing with his father and the weather didn't cooperate. We were really glad to see both of them. Don't they look happy?
We sat at our table inside for quite a long time but decided others needed to take our place so we moved outside and found a lovely place to sit and visit - the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs! It was a great afternoon spending time with everyone. It was too bad when we had to get back on the road heading home.

Jason, I'm sorry, but I had to include the next two pictures. We saw race trailer after race trailer heading from Richmond, VA to Charlotte on our way to Raleigh to meet Alison - you can ask Heather how many we named while we were on the phone with her. But we had just merged onto the interstate on our way home and this silly goose was in front of us.
I'm sure the driver thought we were crazy when we came up beside him and snapped pictures, but then he doesn't have a son-in-law named Jason!

The driver waved to us as we went by. I think he was going to tell Carl Edwards we said hi for you!

The ride home was nice as we got off the interstate and went on some smaller roads. A brief potty stop was made at a Walmart and Gary got some more anti-freeze for the RV. We needed to get back to let out the dogs and they were very happy to see us.
This evening we met the next door neighbors, Brenda and Mike, and their yellow lab, Belle. The three dogs seemed to do well playing with each other which surprized everyone. I'm thinking that Apollo is finally learning to play like a dog!
Dave has to go back to work tomorrow so we will have a low key day. Gary wants to work on rewiring a light on our new tow brake system to put it in the cab of the RV. I think Doris and I may go out and do some wandering by ourselves!
We now have to start planning our way home as we will be leaving on Wednesday. I think we will be getting back to Dayton a few days later than we originally planned, but that's okay. We are going to stop in Las Vegas for a few nights to help out Mark and Heather and see the little ones. That is good enough reason for me!

Hope all is well with everyone following our travels. This country is beautiful. So are all the people we meet. I wish you all the opportunity to travel it for yourself.
