This mother painted her baby "bump" - she was due any day but promised she would not go into labor before the festivities were over.
The next few pictures were of some of the outlandish outfits being worn by men getting ready for a parade in the FQ.
We found this couple dressed quite uniquely. It reminded me of a movie Gary likes to watch called Van Helsing. I know there were flying vampires in that movie.
Some more outstanding costumes. I don't know how the judges will be able to choose the best one.
Even Minnie & Mickey got into the act. There is no end to the variety of costumes seen about the city.
Gary stayed walking in the French Quarter and I came back to the stands to watch some of the parades. I found another bagpipe band today!
There was no way to get the full effect of the band from LSU. They were GREAT!
I think there must have been at least 20 tubas in the band!
The afternoon parades were great but I did not even try to gather beads or throws today. I think we already have about 40 pounds or more!! There is a time to stop!
