Wed - A Day Off, Laundry & Shrimp Boil!

This pathway leads across the swampy land behind our RV and takes us to the other side of our campground loop.  It also leads to the bathrooms, showers & FREE laundry!  Of course, there are only two washers and two dryers so I spent some time in the laundry to wait my turn to wash & dry just one load of clothes.
The day started off gloomy looking but still fairly warm.  We didn't need jackets until later this afternoon when it started to sprinkle.
Talked to Mom & Dad and Lynn (sister) and found out it had snowed at home.  All seems to be going okay at home and when Lynn let the dogs listen to my voice over the phone Apollo gave it a dog kiss!

The dinner tonight was a shrimp boil.  They served corn on the cob, red potatoes, coleslaw & rolls. This is Gary's plate load of shrimp that brought back to the table.

I guess Gary enjoyed the meal as there wasn't much left.

After all 90 campers had a chance to get their plates filled we still had this much left!  It looks like we could still serve another 90 full meals.
Thank goodness they had some chicken grilled for those of us who are not seafood people. (ME!)  They also had ice cream sundaes for dessert so we were quite filled.
While we were in the "tent" eating it started to rain and has been raining quite a bit this evening.  Gary went outside to investigate a noise we heard and we got to see our first ...... armadillo!  It was rooting around the trees and fire pit at our campsite.  I wasn't able to take a picture of it with my camera so I looked this one up on the internet to make sure we saw what I thought we saw!
