More Mardi Gras Pictures

Our pictures may be out of order but they do all come from Mardi Gras Day.  Not all of them need explanation - just enjoy!

Here are some of our "sheets" walking down either Royal St or Bourbon St.  As you can see, many people put their own spin on the costumes.  It isn't too often you see blue hair!

I believe these Pac-Man costumes have probably been around for awhile!

Their costumes were made entirely of beads or doubloons collected from previous Mardi Gras parades

This chef was showing off the "Kings Cake" he had made!

Another addition to the fun was the local bands that would set up and entertain us with music.

We have taken hundreds of pictures so I guess we will have to put together a DVD showing all of them when we get home.  It's too bad I did not record some of the local music to go along with them.
