Fri & Sat - A Stop in Tucson

Traveling a little longer on Thursday let us have a short day of driving on Friday. We set our GPS to the address of Dave & Joyce Tulloss and it took us there with ease. Dave & Joyce live on the east side of Tuscon in a lovely home on 3+ acres. Dave and Gary met on the RV Net Ham Radio site and we were able to meet them in person last October at the RV Service Net Rally in King City, CA.

Dave and Gary did a little tree trimming to let our RV have a clear driveway to park for the night. They had plans already to help feed the homeless for Friday night so Gary and I went to a very nice Mexican restaurant called Guadalajara Grill (recommended by Dave's son, Tom). The dinner was great! They made salsa for us right at our table and a roving Mariachi Band played while we ate dinner. We would definitely go there again.
Joyce made a nice egg and sausage casserole for us Saturday morning and then Dave & Gary got to work trying to figure out why Gary's radio affects our slide-outs and awnings whenever he is on a high frequency channel. They worked all day trying to isolate the problem - so we stayed another night with them and had a chance to take them out to dinner Saturday night.

Tom & Carina and their cute children, Julian and Mia, are staying with Dave & Joyce while their house is being completed. We had a great time interacting with their family.

Dave and Joyce are in a Good Sam Chapter in Arizona but I know they would be fun to camp with, too! Joyce made pancakes for us Sunday morning and then we had to get ready to say goodbye.

This beautiful camellia is in their front courtyard so we grabbed a picture of them with it before we left. Thanks, Dave & Joyce, for the hospitality you showed us. We hope you can stop by and see us sometime when you travel to Nevada.
