Cold Start to a Great Day! (4/18)

Well, it rained all night and was 45 degrees in the RV this morning ...brrrr. Apollo climbed in bed with us and got under the covers!
Today we got smart and took our truck to the rally. We were able to use our sunglasses today!
Seminars included "Google Earth" and "Pacific NW Destinations". It was Camping World Day and Gary found his "match" twice so he got a prize! We were hoping we would have a winning ticket in the drawing, but, alas, not to be. We looked at the Pet Adoptions, but nothing suited our lifestyle or our dog! Today we visited exhibits again and bought something for the grandsons, a sunscreen for our RV and a lifetime Good Sam membership. We had another interesting experience that proved how likable RVers can be. A man literally gave me the shirt off his back when I commented how perfect it would be for Gary. The shirt said "I'm RETIRED, This IS as dressed up as I get" - does that sound like Gary!!!
The evening entertainment was Rita Coolidge. Neither Gary or I were familiar with this artist and we needed some organizing in our RV, so we stayed at camp. We did go to the Balloon Glow - it was in the field right behind our RV.
Seven balloons were filled up with air and when someone would honk the horn all would turn on their propane heaters which made the balloons glow. It was beautiful.
We will be looking for people to "Pay it forward" - Pam got a ride home yesterday and Gary got a sweatshirt today. Nice people go to rallies!
