A Day for Sedona

We started off the day with a little exercise (a 4 mile walk!) then ate breakfast, showered and got ready for the day. After a stop at the AT&T store to check on mobile internet we were on the road to Sedona! The first stop was a vista of the Oak Creek Canyon from the top of the mountain.

After arriving in Sedona we had some lunch and then traveled to the Red Rock Loop Rd. We are learning how to use the timer on our camera so we can take pictures of ourselves when no one else is around. Not too bad!
On the Red Rock Loop there is a picnic area called Crescent Moon, which we spent some time exploring. This mill was built to help bring water to the farmland from Oak Creek.
Of course, all you need is a creek to make Apollo happy! We let him play in the water for quite some time and he entertained all who came by. It's great to have a dog that does not run off!
Another picture we took with our camera on a 6 inch tripod and the timer! We just need to be able to get it a little closer to us.
This picture shows the rocks named "Red Rock Crossing" which are a very popular picture destination spot. When we got closer we even saw people climbing up this monument.
As we were about to leave the Red Rock Loop we took one last picture of the rock formation in that area.
We would have taken more pictures of some of the other formations in the Sedona Valley, but the battery on our camera ran out. I guess we need to buy an extra battery to take with us. They are rechargeable, but when we aren't near our RV we have no way to charge them.

We are now holed up in the RV for the evening, relaxing, watching "Herbie Rides Again" and making plans for tomorrow. If it snows tonight we will probably just go to Olde Town Flagstaff to see what is there and also buy some batteries!

I hope you enjoy the traveloge. It is as much for us as anyone else, but we want you to see some of the sights we are enjoying, too.
