We arrived at Hershey Highmeadow Campground about 1:30 pm after a short drive from Shippensburg. The campground seems nice and we have a camp site near the beginning of the park. At least Mark & Heather will have an easy time finding us. We are also close to the pool and one of the playgrounds. As soon as we got our RV set leveled and hooked up to the power we left to go see Heather and the kids.
Melah and Vera are cuties, aren't they? I expected Vera to be shy around us but she warmed up very quickly. The girls had me paint their nails and we sat at the little table my Grandpa Anderson made for me when I was little. (Gary and I had refinished it for them last year.) All three of the kids are sweet as can be! After some enchiladas and rice with Heather and the kids we left to go back to camp.
If there is a creek or river or lake Apollo just has to go in. This little creek runs through the middle of the campground so he was a happy dog! After we got back to camp and set up the inside of the RV Gary was off to bed. I had intended to get our blog caught up at that time and had just downloaded the pictures when Mark showed up! He came here directly from work, so of course we were thrilled to see him. Gary got out of bed and we sat around and talked for awhile. Mark will be able to have 3 days off this week so we will be glad to spend some time with him. I think we will go to Hershey Park on Monday with Mark's family, Jerry & Susan. On Tuesday we may go to Gettysburg as Mark has never been there. Wednesday we are thinking of going to a wild animal park where we can drive among the animals and even feed some along the way. Mark will have to work on Thursday and we are leaving Friday morning so I think we will go to Dutch Wonderland with Heather and the kids on Thursday.
