Sleeping in was nice! Then I saw that I had a missed call and found out my Dad had been in the emergency room. It's tough being on the other side of the country when something like that happens. I did get to talk to my sister and found out he was home and doing okay but I needed to call back later when everyone had time to get some sleep.
We arrived at the Louisville Temple with just a few minutes to spare so we did not take too many pictures this time. It is smaller than the Nauvoo and Reno Temples but beautiful as can be. Gary and I had reservations for an 11:30 session which turned out to be really nice.
After we came out we decided to go have lunch and then go back to camp. Gary needed a relaxing day and wanted to go swimming at our pool rather than do any more touring of the city.
I did get a call in to Mom and Dad and found out that Dad had gotten dehydrated which caused all the problems he was having breathing and walking. Sure was nice to hear. I know that putting their names in on the prayer roll helped.
We had a few drops of rain but nothing like yesterday. By time we got back to our campground it had pretty much cleared up. Gary worked on the device he bought to protect our electrical systems (surge suppressor, etc) and I looked up possible campgrounds for the next few days. It looks like we can use our 1/2 price camp club for a couple nights along the trail. It will have paid for itself by time we reach Colorado!
The pool was nice and relaxing and now we are doing a little organizing in our 'house". A quick trip to the Post Office tomorrow will let me mail postcards to my visiting teaching sisters and send off the "Spirit Flag" to the Pahrump Dust Devils. They are the ones who tied with our chapter for the most points last spring and they will bring it back to our next Samboree. For those of you who don't belong to Good Sams the last bit of information probably won't mean anything to you!!! That's okay - just know it involves a lot of great people!
Westward Ho!
