It rained all night Tuesday night and until about 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon. When the rain cleared out Mark, Heather & the kids came to the campground to spend the rest of the day.
We walked around the campground and looked at different camping trailers and let the kids play on the playground for a short time. Everyone was getting hungry by then and we returned to the RV to prepare dinner - BBQ chicken! Melah, Jett & Vera found out they liked sugar snap peas. Every time Jett eats vegetables we check to see how big his muscles are getting! While the rest of dinner was being readied the kids played with the wheelbarrow we had brought from Tammy & Bryan,
Thursday was beautiful weather - no rain - and Mark had to work. It figures. The afternoon was spent at the house, doing laundry and visiting with the kids and Heather. Heather got Gary and I involved in playing "spades" on their X-box and we tried our best to beat the computer. After a nice dinner of pork chops, quinoa & asparagus we had to say good-bye. Vera fell asleep (no nap today) so just gave her a kiss and put her to bed. Jett and Melah went outside with us and tried to catch fireflies. Jett is pretty good at catching them and Melah came really close.
Aren't they sweet? All three are precious and we will miss them. We will have to find a way to get back here before too much time passes. It's a little bit harder when it is such a long drive!
Gary and I went back to camp and put all of our outside gear away. We will be getting up about 4:30 to put the rest of the inside together and put the slideouts in. It sure was nice to stay in one place for so many days. Tomorrow we head for Milton, WV, near Charleston, to meet Dave & Doris and spend the weekend with them. It's 400 miles so it will be a long day. Got to get to bed!
