Campers have S'more Fun!

Heather dropped Mark off at work and came directly to the campground. Of course, we had to explore the camp and find the playground.

We spent some time at the playground and then went back to camp to change into bathing suits. There are 3 pools here - a kiddie pool about 15 inches deep, a small pool that is 2 to 3 feet deep and a large pool that goes from 3 feet to 6 feet deep. Jett does fine in the big pool jumping in the 3 foot section and swimming to the side. Melah likes the kiddie pool best as she is apprehensive around water and is afraid of going under. Vera just jumps right in! We spent enough time there to start getting waterlogged and a little sunburn for Grandma and Grandpa!

Mommy and Vera went home to take a nap and Jett and Melah stayed with us. We had some lunch and played with bubbles as well as a few games. Jett did real well playing CandyLand and both of them liked to draw and color. Unfortunately the Play-doh had dried up so we couldn't do that, but we had enough other things. Grandma, Jett and Melah took a walk and found another playground. When Grandma got worn out they walked back to camp and found that Mommy and Vera had returned.

A simple dinner of BBQ hot dogs and it was bubble time again. Grandpa Gary can blow lots of bubbles in one breath! While they were busy blowing and popping bubbles Grandma Pam got out the fixings for S'mores!

I think Vera had the graham crackers and chocolate eaten before the marshmallows were cooked, but she still managed to make a mess!

Jett definitely enjoyed the entire s'more. He sure is not afraid to get messy!

Melah does not like to get messy. She started asking for a napkin after the first bite. Somehow she even ended up getting marshmallow on her knee! A few wet paper towels and a little bit of cleanup and they were all as good as new.

Tomorrow we will go to Hershey Park. We have a pass to get in an hour early so everyone will meet us here. There is a free shuttle to and from the park so it is a lot easier than trying to park cars and/or pay for parking. It's 10:30 pm and I must get my sleep so I can make it through a day of roller coasters. We plan on going to Mark's restaurant for dinner tomorrow so it should be fun. Will try to get the next blog up tomorrow night, but if we don't I hope you understand!
