Well, Mountains again! Hills, actually, but the locals call them mountains. We backtracked through Maryland into West Virgina again, up and down over the "hills." It was finally a sunny day as we left Pennsylvania.
About 15 minutes after we started to set up camp Dave and Doris found us! Thank goodness they like dogs as Apollo and Lady made sure they felt welcome. The trip today was over 400 miles so we decided to go out for dinner as we were all road weary. Later in the evening we played a game of Phase 10 Twist. Gary won.
The dogs needed a walk before we left them in the RV to go into town. A nice young lady took this picture for us. Gary didn't get the note about wearing a gray t-shirt like the rest of us!
In town we went to the Blenko Glass Factory. I guess it's pretty well known - except to me! Come to find out, Gary and I have a Blenko piece that we got when we were married, and never knew it until today! (40 years later!!) The museum upstairs was open as well as this 'gift shop' area, but the factory was closed today so we couldn't do a tour. We did go to another glass shop that is owned by a man who worked at Blenko for 30 years. He had really nice glass pieces and spent some time talking to us about his work.
A quick stop at the grocery store gave us the rest of the food needed for dinner. Phase 10 Twist was played again, and Gary won again! Strategy! We had a great steak, potato, corn-on-the-cob & salad dinner. Now we are just about ready for bed, but I think we will try to get in one more game.
It was great having Dave & Doris visit, even if only for the weekend. Gary talked to Dave a lot about pros and cons of different types of RV's and types of things that should be looked for and looked out for! Maybe someday we will be able to travel around together. That would be fun!
